Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, Ministry of Railways, Government of India has released the RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for engagement of 734 Act Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. The recruitment is being conducted through Notice No. A-1/2026 dated 07 August 2026.

The vacancies are available across nine trades, namely Fitter, Welder (G&E), Machinist, Painter (G), Carpenter, Electrician, AC & Refrigeration Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), and Electronic Mechanic. The online application process started on 07 August 2026 and the last date to submit the online application is 05 September 2026 up to 24:00 hours.

Candidates who have passed 10th class or its equivalent under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and possess a relevant National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT are eligible to apply. Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 05 September 2026, subject to applicable age relaxation.

Selection will be made through a merit list prepared on the basis of the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation and the relevant ITI/NTC certificate. There will be no written examination or interview for selection. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and must satisfy the prescribed medical fitness requirements.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent under the 10+2 system with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. In addition, candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100/- for UR/OBC male candidates. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and Women categories are exempted from payment of the application fee. The fee is non-refundable.

The fee can be paid only through the online payment gateway integrated with the application form. Candidates must complete the payment within 2 working days after successfully completing the application form. Cash, cheque, money order or demand draft will not be accepted.

RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Stipend / Salary

The notification states that the stipend for Act Apprentices will be paid as per the extant rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. The provided recruitment details do not specify a fixed monthly stipend amount.
