Important Information

Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (Northern Region), has released the AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for engagement of 205 Graduate, Diploma and ITI Trade Apprentices for the 2026-27 apprenticeship training session. The apprenticeship training will be conducted for a period of one year (12 months) under the Apprentices Act, 1961, as amended.

The vacancies include 80 Graduate Apprentices, 65 Diploma Apprentices and 60 ITI Trade Apprentices. Eligible candidates can apply online through the respective NATS 2.0 portal for Graduate/Diploma Apprentices and the NAPS portal for ITI Trade Apprentices.

Candidates must be Indian Nationals and domiciles of the specified Northern Region states/UTs. The maximum age limit is 26 years as on 16 September 2026, with applicable relaxation for reserved categories. Candidates must have obtained their qualifying Degree, Diploma or ITI qualification in 2024 or after 2024.

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification for the discipline or trade against which they are applying. The qualifying Degree, Diploma or ITI qualification must have been obtained in 2024 or after 2024.

Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship, discontinued an apprenticeship midway, or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training elsewhere or at AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible. Candidates having one year or more of apprenticeship/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification are also not eligible as per the conditions mentioned in the recruitment details.

AAI Apprentice Age Limit 2026

AAI Apprentice Training Locations

Selected apprentices may be posted at various airports, stations, training establishments and AAI offices under the Northern Region. The locations mentioned include Adampur, Amritsar, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bhatinda, Bikaner, Chitrakoot, CATC-Prayagraj, Dehradun, Farukkhabad, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Hissar, Halwara/Ludhiana, Jammu, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kangra-Gaggal, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kullu-Bhuntar, Kushinagar, Kishangarh, Kota, Lucknow, Leh, Moradabad, Muirpur, Meerut, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Pratapgarh, Pithoragarh, Prayagraj Airport, Safdarjung, Shravasti, Srinagar, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi and various offices in New Delhi.

AAI Apprentice Selection Process 2026

  1. Merit-Based Shortlisting
    • Provisional selection will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
    • Where marks are expressed as CGPA, the percentage will be calculated according to the concerned Board/University norms.
  2. Document Verification
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID regarding document verification.
    • Original educational and other required documents will be verified.
  3. Interview / Certificate Verification
    • The recruitment process may include interview/certificate verification as specified by AAI.
    • Candidature remains provisional until successful completion of all required stages.
  4. Medical Fitness
    • A medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking is required at the time of joining.
  5. Final Engagement
    • Final selection and issuance of the apprenticeship engagement letter will follow successful document verification and medical fitness clearance.
