Eligibility Details
Candidates applying for MEA Consultant Recruitment 2026 must be Indian nationals and preferably retired Government of India officials of Under Secretary level or above. Applicants should ideally possess Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Law or other relevant qualifications. Roles & Responsibilities

Legal & International Affairs Work
- Provide legal advice related to international law, treaties, ICJ, and international tribunals.
- Examine and analyze draft UN resolutions from legal perspective.

Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with Ministry of Law & Justice and other departments.
- Prepare concept notes, draft statements, issue notes, gazette notifications, and outcome documents.

Research & Monitoring
- Conduct historical and legal research on international matters.
- Monitor legal issues assigned by the Head of Division.
