CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi has released Advertisement No. Rectt./02/2026 for recruitment to the post of Technician. The laboratory is a premier research institution under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and serves as the National Metrology Institute of India. Eligibility Details

Candidates must have passed SSC/10th Standard or equivalent examination with Science subjects securing at least 55% marks. Applicants should possess a relevant ITI certificate in the concerned trade from a recognized institution. Alternatively, candidates having apprenticeship training or relevant work experience in the respective trade in Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings are also eligible as prescribed in the notification.

    • OMR Based or Computer Based Objective Type Examination.
    • Total Questions: 150.
    • Total Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes.

    • Mental Ability Test.
    • 50 Questions carrying 100 Marks.
    • No Negative Marking.
  3. Paper-II
    • General Awareness & English Language.
    • 50 Questions carrying 150 Marks.
    • 1 Mark Negative Marking.
  4. Paper-III
    • Concerned Trade Subject.
    • 50 Questions carrying 150 Marks.
