What is the eligibility for IBPS PO, Bank Probationary Officer 2024?
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has officially announced the Exam date for IBPS PO 2024. The Preliminary exams will take place on 19th October and 20th October 2024. The candidates who clear The Prelims will be called for the Mains exam, which is tentatively scheduled to be held on 30th November 2024.
Education Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from UGC recognised Institute.
Computer Literacy: Candidate must have Working knowledge of computer systems.
Language Proficiency: Candidate Must have Verbal and written proficiency in the state or UT’s official language.
Nationality/Citizenship: Candidate must be a Citizen of India, a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan Refugee, a Person of
India Origin (PIO)
Age Limit: The candidate’s Minimum age should be 20 years and the Maximum age should be 30 years

The Fees for IBPS probationary officer PO for 2024 is as follows
For SC/ST/PWD Candidates there is an Intimation charge of 175 /- Rs. But the Application Fee is not applicable.
For UR/EWS/OBC Candidates there is an Intimation charge of 175 /- Rs. Application Fee is 850/- Rs.

What is the IBPS PO Selection Process 2024?
The Selection Process consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. Details are mentioned below
Prelims:
The examination mode is online and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

3. Reasoning Ability
Medium: The medium of the Exam is Hindi and English
Number of Questions : 100(30 in English Langauge, 35 each in Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability)
Maximum Marks: 100
Marking Scheme:
1. For Each correct answer there is a +1 Mark
2. For Each incorrect answer there is a negative marking i.e. -0.25 Mark
Mains:
The mode of the mains exam is also online after clearing the prelims only candidates can appear for the mains examination and the duration for the mains exam will be 3 hours.
The structure of the main exam is as follows
1. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude
2. English Language
3. Data Analysis and Interpretation
4. General Economy and Banking Awareness
5. English Language(Letter writing and Essay)
Medium: The medium of the Exam is Hindi and English
Number of Questions: 155(45 in Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, 35 each in English Language and Data Analysis and Interpretation, 40 in General Economy and Banking Awareness, 2 in English language for Letter writing and Essay)
Maximum Marks: 225 (200 in Objective sections, 25 in the English Language for Letter Writing and Essay)
Marking Scheme:
1. For Each Correct answer there is a +1 Mark
2. For Each Incorrect answer there is a Negative Marking of -1 Mark
Interview:
Mode: Mode of Interview is Face to Face
Duration: Generally it will take 15-20 minutes
Marks: A maximum of 100 marks is there for the exam
Content: Questions Related to the Candidate’s background, Banking Sector, Current affairs, and General Awareness.
Candidates who will clear all three stages and get at least cut-off marks as an aggregate will be shortlisted to be appointed as PO in any of the 11 participating banks.
